What genres and categories do you accept?

2

We currently accept picture books, early reader chapter books, middle grade fiction, and young adult fiction.

Do you charge authors any fees?

Are you affiliated with professional publishing organizations?

4

Yes! Magis Ink is a reputable publishing company and a proud member of the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), upholding industry-standard best practices and ethics.

How will my book be distributed?

5

We utilize robust distribution channels via IngramSpark and Amazon KDP to ensure our titles are distributed throughout the U.S. This means your published book will be available to order through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, independent bookstores, and major library and school suppliers.

How do I submit my work?

6

Submissions are accepted exclusively through our online portal using our submission form, where you will be asked to upload your completed manuscript and a professional query letter.

What should I include in my query letter?

7

Your one-page query letter should include your contact information, book title, category, word count, a compelling hook and plot summary, your author bio highlighting your educator background, and a brief note on why Magis Ink is the ideal home for your story.

Can I submit multiple manuscripts at once?

8

We prefer that you submit one manuscript at a time. Once you have received a final decision on your current submission, you are welcome to submit another project.

How long does the editorial review process take?

Due to the volume of submissions we receive from educators, our editorial team typically reviews submissions within 8 to 12 weeks. We deeply appreciate the time and heart you invest in your writing!

Yes. Magis Ink offers paid, contracted services to independent authors who want to improve or promote their books.
